Overview

Since we are not an event security company, we offer event services on a seasonal, sporadic, or one-time basis, depending on client needs. As a result, your role with us may be as-needed or limited to a single event. This is temporary work, but with a chance to meet new and interesting people, and the possibility of future opportunities working together.

Unless a written offer has been extended to you, working at an event does not guarantee you ongoing employment with RSS in this role or in other roles within the company.

Additionally, please note that as of Q2 2025, all workers assigned to represent Rodgers Security Solutions, regardless of duration or employment status, are required to complete the Ethics and Harassment Prevention Training before receiving their site assignment or uniform

  1. Special Event Security Guards and Screeners:
    • Responsibilities include monitoring event activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing crowd control, and providing assistance as needed.
    • You must be vigilant, professional, and able to maintain order in a fast-paced environment.
    • Active BSIS Guard Card
    • Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
    • Must have reliable transportation to and from the event site
    • Able to stand or walk for extended periods
    • Must maintain a clean, professional appearance
    • Punctual, dependable, and strong work ethic
    • Comfortable working in large public venues or crowds
    • Strong communication & conflict-resolution skills
    • Event or crowd management experience is a plus
    • Veterans & former Law Enforcement encouraged to apply
    • Attendance at mandatory orientation & site walk-through is required prior to event shifts
  2. Special Event Support Staff:
    • Roles include assisting with event logistics, coordinating with other team members, and providing on-the-ground support to ensure smooth operations.
    • You should be organized, proactive, and ready to handle various tasks as needed.
    • You will assist with clocking in and out all guards and supervisors at the start and end of each shift
    • Maintain and update daily attendance logs and shift rosters [in collaboration with the Lead Event Supervisor and HR]
    • Distribute uniforms and credentials to on-site personnel
    • Secure and monitor the command post to prevent unauthorized access or tampering with company equipment, supplies, or materials
    • Restock company-provided snack and refreshment inventory throughout the shift to ensure availability for on-duty guards and staff
    • Transmit shift information and incident updates to supervisors via walkie-talkie or internal team communication app
    • Submit all completed incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation to HR in a timely and organized manner
    • Provide support to site supervisors and leadership as directed
